Admission Criteria for B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science

 
 

Minimum Eligibility Requirement for admission to 1st Year B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science 2010.

 
 

Existing Eligibility Criteria

Proposed Eligibility for admission in July 2010

A candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate of any three of the following subjects at +2

  1. Physics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Biology/ Biotechnology
  4. Mathematics
  5. Economics
  6. Home Science
  7. Computer Science

A candidate must have obtained at least 50% marks in the aggregate of any three of the following subjects at +2 (at least one subject should be from Group A)

Group A:

  1. Physics
  2. Chemistry
  3. Biology/Biotechnology

Group B:

  1. Mathematics
  2. Home Science
  3. Economics
  4. Computer Science
  5. Psychology

Admission Criteria for B.Sc. (Pass) Home Science

There is no change in the admission criteria for B.Sc. (P) Home Science.

M.Sc. Food & Nutrition

Existing Eligibility Criteria

Proposed Eligibility for admission in July 2010

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science with specialization in Food & Nutrition.

55% or above marks in overall aggregate and 55% or above marks in the aggregate of Nutritional Biochemistry and any two of the following subjects of B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science with specialization in Food & Nutrition.

  1. Foundation of Food & Nutrition
  2. Nutrition for the family
  3. Community Nutrition
  4. Food Science and Processing
  5. Diet Therapy

OR

B.Sc. (Pass) Home Science

55% or above marks in overall aggregate and 55% or above marks in the aggregate of Nutritional Biochemistry and any two of the following subjects of B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science:

  1. Food Science
  2. Normal Nutrition
  3. Community Nutrition and Dietetics

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science with specialization in Food & Nutrition.

55% or above marks in overall aggregate and 55% or above marks in the aggregate of Nutritional Biochemistry and any two of the following subjects of B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science with specialization in Food & Nutrition.

  1. Foundation of Food & Nutrition
  2. Nutrition for the family
  3. Community Nutrition
  4. Food Science and Processing

OR

B.Sc. (Pass) Home Science

There is no change in the Admission Criteria for the following

  1. M.Sc. Fabric & Apparel Science
  2. M.Sc. Human Development and Childhood Studies
  3. M.Sc. Development Communication & Extension
  4. M.Sc. Resource Management & Design Application

One Year PG Diploma in Dietetics & Public Health Nutrition

Minimum Eligibility Requirement for Admission to PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition for 2010

Existing Eligibility Criteria

Proposed Eligibility for admission in July 2010

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science (Pass/ Hons.)

50% or above marks in the overall aggregate and 50% or above each in any three of the following subjects:

  1. Food Science
  2. Normal Nutrition
  3. Community Nutrition
  4. Clinical Nutrition
  5. Biochemistry

B.Sc. Home Science (Pass/ Hons.) or B.Sc. Food Technology (Hons.)

50% or above marks in the overall aggregate and 50% or above each in any three of the following subjects:

  1. Food Science
  2. Normal Nutrition
  3. Community Nutrition
  4. Clinical Nutrition
