LADY IRWIN COLLEGE, the epitome of wholesome education presents 'VANI', the Debating Society, proclaiming potentials on a common platform. Helming the society affairs with her immaculate guidance and inspiration is our Staff Advisor: Dr. Renuka Pathak.

The society kick starts its activities with Freshers' Talent Contest wherein a host of events English Debate, Hindi Debate, English Extempore and Hindi Extempore are conducted.

To cap the index of responsibilities the society pilots the Morning Assemblies for the first year students. The society also compeers the various cultural events spanned through out the academic year. Be it the thought provoking Gandhi Jayanti or the enriching SPIC MACAY events, heart warming Farewells or Special Assemblies, the society does make its presence felt.

Gradually, the Grand Finale - the Annual Festival 'QUINTESSENCE' beckons. The much acclaimed Hannah Sen Debate marks the beginning of Quintessence. Tagging along with are

Hindi Declamation.
Black n White.
Dumb Charades.

All through the year, the Society is well represented at the multitude of debating events at the various colleges, bringing back award and accolades for our college. The Society, thus, has been able to carve out an enviable niche for itself on the Debating canvas.

The Society also organizes Workshops on Public Speaking to boost the confidence and enhance the linguistic skills of the students.

Innovation being the buzz word, an Inter year Debating and Creative Writing Event has been added to our scroll of events.

Once aboard our ship, we promise you a riveting journey through the realms of unforgettable oratory experiences.
