The Computer Resource Centre (CRC) is situated in the heart of the college. It has been set up to provide state-of-the-art computer facilities for the faculty, researchers and students of the college. Assigned with the task of providing appropriate inter-linkages for the advancement of Home Science through computerization and networking, the centre acts as a nodal body providing technical and academic support to the whole college.
The centre periodically runs basic computer courses, free of charge to the learner, or at highly subsidized cost, to enable students, faculty and staff to enhance their computer skills. Admission to courses is on first come first serve basis. Interested students can enroll themselves at the centre and they will be accordingly contacted. The centre supports all college departments in their courses, research and projects and conducts special courses tailor-made for the different departments as per the requirements of their curriculum. Specialized courses conducted by the centre have included Computer aided designing for Fashion Textiles, Interiors and Landscaping, Graphics and Multimedia, Web page designing and Desktop Publishing.
The centre provides facilities to faculty and students for word processing, data analysis, printing and scanning of material for college assignments and other tasks. Assistance is also provided to departments for seminars, workshops and presentations. Limited internet and e-mail facilities are also available at the centre for students and faculty, free of charge.
The centre also assists in data base management though the college website. The centre provided assistance in the creation of the college website and will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the website. The website will provide information about the college's history, details about courses offered, admissions, college and departmental events and facilities for dissemination of researches, departmental and faculty publications, and other information.
