Reaching Out
The Department has ongoing projects that serve the needs of the children of the neighbouring communities and allow students to observe children in educational settings. The programmes are
- The Rajkumari Amrit Kaur Child Study Centre
- The Enabling Centre
The department also reaches and extends through experience and expertise to institutions and other societal groups different manners. The department is affiliated with other national and international organisations through consultancies and expert committees in both NGO and GO sectors.
Future Vision
Every institution aspires to grow and charter new territories so do we dream for the future with every new batch and for each of our students who leave us. Among such aspirations sustaining and enriching the current programmes is foremost. We would also like to review and adapt programmes to the growing or changing needs of society. The principle of social relevance holds true for curricular inputs as a primary mandate. In our understanding we would like to strive for a
- Parent Centre to encourage playful interactions and facilitate early intervention.
- Counselling for harmonious family life initiating dialogues related to parenting and school related issues
- An Annual Public event such as to reflect on issues of childhood matters
